Abatis is a very interesting logic puzzle game for a single player.

Everyone can enjoy its simplicity and entertaining character.

You gain scores while sorting out the abatis of chips, which are situated in the center of the game board.

First, one should choose a chip adjoining the sides of a central square.

The chosen chip starts moving to the opposite side of the square until it meets the barrier, which makes the chip stop.

The chip situated just after the first one occupies vacant place at the edge of the square.

The chip from a stack will occupy this vacant place.

If three or more chips of the same coloring in the central square are adjoining, they form a block, which eliminates itself.

You gain scores for every eliminated block.

At this the move is completed.

Next ones will be performed in the same way.

You may choose the chips for every move at any side of the square.

If the block of the chips appears as a result of the move, it will be eliminated as well.

You may move only those chips, which meet the barrier on their way to the opposite side of the square.

The blocks may not appear on the board every time you make a move.

However you are to move the chips so that they help to form the blocks.

The larger the size of the formed block, the bigger the amount of the scores at this point.

You proceed to the next level if:

— The game board has no chips left on its surface;

— Or playing at this level you have eliminated 64 blocks or more.

The game gets complicated at every level.

The number of the chips on the board at the starting point increases...

... and the number of colors of the chips increases as well.

The game is over if there are no more variants for next moves.

If you fail, there is a possibility to retrieve some of the last moves.

When you start the game you may set the range of patterns for the chips you've chosen

And the quantity of levels, which you have to do before the number of the
chips’ coloring increases.

It allows using more than 70 different scenarios of the game, and this helps to set the game according to your present mood, patience and your native intellectual faculties.

Every scenario has got its own high scores table.

You may see the statistics of the current game at any time.

If the screen of your computer does not maintain colors, do not worry...

as the game has some special versions:

for the computers with a grayscale screen...

... and even for the computers with a monochrome screen.

The game has no time limits and you won't get nervous while playing.

The duration of the game depends on the degree of its complexity. It may last

for some minutes ...

... or for several hours.
